From the maker of Unicorn Spirits - The worlds first colour changing shimmer vodka and gin liqueurs. Comes a wine unlike anything ever produced in the Australian market.

This NSW Pinot Gris has had organic flower petals wrested in it to create a vivid Rosé wine like no other. A natural reaction occurs post ferment turning the wine this deep Amethyst Purple.

Every bottle is hand made in Canberra and infused with a beverage grade shimmer for a magical look every time you shake the bottle or pour a glass.

Amethyst Origin Story

Ben Osborne - Founder and CEO

"The name Amethyst comes from ancient Greek legends and ironically means sobriety. The wine god Bacchus, angry over an insult and determined to avenge himself, decreed the first person he should meet would be devoured by his tigers (Like Carole Baskins husband). The unfortunate mortal happened to be a beautiful maiden named Amethyst. As the ferocious beasts sprang, she sought the protection of a goddess and was saved by being turned into a clear, white crystal. Bacchus, regretting his cruelty, poured the juice of his grapes over the stone as an offering; giving the gem its lovely purple hue.

It is the stone of St. Valentine and faithful love. It carries the energy of fire and passion, creativity and spirituality; yet bears the logic of moderation.

Throughout history, the special virtue of Amethyst has been that of preventing drunkenness and overindulgence (#drinkresponsibly).  Ancient Greeks and Romans routinely studded their goblets with Amethyst believing wine drunk from an Amethyst cup were powerless to intoxicate, and a stone worn on the body, especially at the navel, had a sobering effect, not only for inebriation but in over-zealousness in passion. I think they may have been a few too many goblets in and kidding themselves at that stage.

After the success of Unicorn Spirits, I thought what's next? We essentially had all the equipment already so after months of research, paperwork, and trials we had our new wine business! I hope you enjoy the literal fruits of our labour x "
